Breasts

Breasts come in all different shapes and sizes. Everybody is different. Breasts change shape and size throughout your life.

It is common for most women to have one breast that is slightly bigger than the other. Your breasts will probably not stop growing until you are about 19 years old.

Breasts can be used to produce milk and feed a baby but breasts are also an erogenous zone – meaning it might feel nice if they are touched.

Nipples can also vary in appearance – dark, pale, big or small. Hair can also grow around your nipple.

Breast cancer is extremely rare in young women, but if you familiarise yourself with your own breasts and get into the habit of examining your breasts on a regular basis it will help you notice any changes.
