Did you know in England Wales alone there are at least 1.5 million people who identify as LGBTQ+!!!

Looking back through the history of the community you can see great strides have been made in acceptance of LGBTQ+ individuals however there is still progress to be made. So whether you identify as LGBTQ or as an ally take this month as a time to celebrate all the progress and victories made in the community’s history.

Some examples of past LGBT figures are Alan Turing, Dan Savage and Frieda Kahlo.

This month is #BehindtheLens celebrating contributions from members of the LGBTQ+ community to films, this includes directors, make up artists, costume designers etc.
