Learning Disability Week 14th June 2021 – 20th June 2021

Learning Disability Week is a great way to raise the awareness of learning disability across the UK.

This year’s Theme is Art and Creativity.

For many people with a learning disability and their families, getting creative has been a way to stay connected and positive through the challenges of last year.

We know that people with a learning disability are up to twice as likely to experience mental health problems, due to many factors like discrimination and social isolation.

In every aspect of daily life, people with a learning disability are denied access and opportunities that so many of us take for granted. As Learning Disability Awareness Week draws to a close, why not make a commitment to personally advocate for people with a learning disability and take steps to make our communities truly inclusive for everyone.
