Treat or Treat…
It’s easy to get carried away over the Halloween period with all the fancy dress parties and nights out but its important to look after yourself and your sexual health.
ACarry Condoms!! condoms are free and help protect you from unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STI’s)
AContraception– make sure you have enough supplies of your usual method of contraception to last over the Christmas period. If you are travelling remember to pack your contraception! and remind yourself to take it. Better still why not consider having an implant, injection or coil-that way you do not not have to worry about your contraception on a daily basis.
AEmergency Contraception– if you have unprotected sex, or if your usual method fails then get Emergency Contraception- A2 types of pill and the IUD ( COIL). If the clinic is closed look on NHS choices.
AAlcohol– alcohol can lower your inhibitions, making you take more risks and feel more confident. You are more likely to take risks and less likely to think about possible consequences. Know your limits , don’t feel pressurized.
ASexually transmitted infections-( STIS)- can be passed on through unprotected vaginal, anal, oral sex , genital contact and by sharing sex toys. Its easy to carried away but using a condom is a positive way to look after yourself. if you do have sex without a condom it is advisable to visit a sexual health clinic for advice.
